Banoffee Cake- Mother's day and daddy's 52th birthday

Ironically, my dad was borned on Mother's day, so we cleebrated both on every Aug 12th. This year I baked them Banoffee Cake (blueberry cheese cake for last year, cherry fresh cream cake for 2008)

Banoffee cake is one of the easiest cakes:)

chocolate cake (slide in half) (click previous entry for recipe)

250g unsalted butter

1 can of condensed sweetened milk

60g brown sugar

60g sugar

3 large bananas (sliced)

1T lemon/ lime juice

1c whipped cream

1 lb of chocolate cake

instruction for caramel

in a pan, melted the butter
add on both sugars and condensed sweetened milk
stir it for 1-2 min

add on lime juice and carefully mix it together with sliced bananas

spread caramel on the cake

top the first layer with banana

looks like a hamburger lol


whipped up whipping cream till it nice and fluffy

nicely covered the cake with whipping cream and topped with cocoa powder

the left over ingredients can make cup banoffee pie

a pack of oreo cookies, take the cream off, crush it

mix in 50g of melted butter in a big bowl

I baked this cake for my last day of English Literature class at my college, we had a potluck party. We can bring any food to class that is mentioned in the story we've read. I chose Sorayan's short story "Gaston", about a bug inside a peach seed.

Prof. Puckpan (graduated from Yale) is the best, thanks for teaching us, we've learnt a lot from you!!

first time trying iberry's honey toast, i like it better than after you, since the icecream taste a lot better.

Chocolate cheese cookies and chocolate cheese cup cake

i planned to baked this since i flip through the cooking book in the book store (this recipe is one of the recipes that interested me the most) but havnt had time yet. it made from pie crust and inside is chocolate fillings. the cupcakes are just the left over fillings and topped with chocolatechip.

BBQ dinner and Chocolate Lava Cakes at Mook's

On june 20th min and i went to sleepover at mook's. it was great having us 3 back together again, (min came back from stanford, and i havnt seen mook that much since she's at law school another side of chula). it was a causal dinner at the front yard, mook's mom provided us bbq, YUM! e'pun which appear to be mook's close cousin (a guy next door) joined us too.
after that dinner, we baked. since min and mook are both a big fan of chocolate, we then baked chocolate lava cake. i used less sugar and dark chocolate so it's not that sweet and not too bitter.very easy and very delicious. we watched "valentine's day" but didnt actually pay any attention to it, since we are flipping through mook's childhood photo albums. adorable as she is now :D

mook gave us each a colorful pillow as a gift from japan :)

i have class at 8 on the next day, nearly died lol
