Betty Crocker's Cinnamon rolls

INGREDIENTS

2c flour

3tsp baking powder

1tsp salt

6T shortening

2/3c milk

2T butter, softened

1/4c brown sugar

1tsp cinnamon

1. sift together flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.

2.Cut in shortening with fork until finely blended

3.Mixture should look like 'meal'. stir in almost all of the milk, using enough to make it soft, puffy dough easy to roll out.

4.Round up lightly floured board. Knead lightly, folding dough over and press lightly for 6 times

5.Roll the dough into 7"x16" rectangle

6.Spread with butter.

7.mix brown sugar and cinnamon

8.Roll up tightly

9.cut into 1" slices

10.place cut-side-down on greased baking sheet

bake at 220c for 15min

Oatmeal Bread

My mom bought a bread baker since I was in grade2 but we haven't use it that much. Since the flood situation in Thailand is so severe, all of the bread on the shelves in every department store are out. My dad then told me to bake one every day.

2+1/3c bread flour

2T sugar

1tsp salt

1T butter

1/4c oatmeal

1/2c milk

1/2c water

1 tsp dry yeast

1.place yeast inside the pan

2.follow by flour and all dry ingredients

3.oatmeal

4.the rest of the wet ingredients

press start and wait for 4 hours -_-"

another easy and tasty cake that i bake quite often! With sweet ans sour orangy taste, orange cake is my brother's favorite. the cake i use is the basic chiffon cake. check out the recipe on the link below:


add an optional step on number5 after adding the melted butter in

add in a few drops of orange food-coloring or orange scent

then follow the rest of the recipe


ORANGE SAUCE

400g water

120g sugar

40g flour

60g unsalted butter

80g Sunquick (concentrated orange flavored drink)

1. In a saucepan: Add every ingredient in except the butter.

Using high heat, stir guadually for 5-8min then change it to low heat but continue stirring. There will be bubbles, dont panic. The sauce will become thicker and keep on stirring it for 7 more minutes. Then remove it from the heat.

2.add in the butter and let it melt in the pan. stir the sauce a bit though

3. finally pour the sauce on the cake. fridge it for 2 hours or best over night. eat chilled

Basic Chiffon Cake

Ingredients:

100g cake flour

80g sugar

1/4tsp salt

1tsp baking powder

80g butter (melted)

40g evaporated milk

40g water

3 eggs

10g SP

1.sift cake flour, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl

2.in a different mixing bowl: add in eggs, milk, water, sugar, and SP

3.after 5min of highspeed mix, use the spatula to scoop the batter up and if the batter looks fluffy and doesnt fall down, add in the flour mixture

4.use the mixer with low speed and mix it for 1min

then change the speed to high and mix it for 6 min. after that change the speed again to low and mix them for another min

5.turn the mixer off and guadually add in melted butter then mix in low speed for 2 more minutes and change it to high speed for only 10 seconds


6. place the parchment paper on 2lbs or 3lbs cake mold and pour the batter in.

bake it at 175c for 25min

7. use the spatula around the side to remove the cake from the mold

8.turn the mold up-side-down on the cooling rack and carefully remove the parchment paper

Chocolate-Matcha Marble Cake

INGREDIENTS:

1+2/3c flour

1tsp baking powder

1/3c milk

2T cocoa powder

1+1/2 T matcha

3/4 c butter

1+7/8c icing sugar

4 eggs

3/4c ground almonds

1. warm the milk in a microwave. In a small bowl, dilute the cocoa w/ 1/2c of milk, and in another container, mix the remaining milk with the matcha.

stir them till they are diluted and set aside

2.whip the softened butter w/ the icing sugar

3. add the eggs one by one

4.then gradually mix in the flour

5.add in ground almonds
Photobucket
6.divide the batter in half in 2 seperate bowls. add the cocoa mixture into one and the matcha into the other.

7. alternately pour the different batters to the layer into a baking pan.

8. to create the marble pattern, pour half of the chocolate batter, cover with the matcha batter and then finish w/ the remaining chocolate batter.

bake at 180c for 45-50min
